APPLY
The Alumni Leadership Fellowship is a new program designed to meet the needs of Heart to Heart alumni in their 20's as they navigate this time of great pain, challenge, and need.

  • Focus on healing, reconnecting, regrouping, and moving forward as a community of leaders dedicated to a better future for all
  • Participate in arts-based activities focused on healing and emotional processing
  • Deepen the dialogue and discourse as you take the conversations begun as 15 year old's to the next level
  • Live and learn together, back at camp and reconnect with the Heart to Heart community in Toronto for 10 days this August
  • Design and implement a personal or group project in your community
  • Connect with the wider movement of people, projects and organizations working for change

We understand that this year has been incredibly painful and challenging and that not everyone is ready to come together right now. The Heart to Heart Alumni Leadership Followship is for alumni who want to be part of a forum focused on healing, reconnecting, regrouping and moving forward as a community of leaders.

The program will require vulnerability. To support this we ask all fellows to commit to the principle of respectful dialogue which centres:
  • The rights of all Palestinians and Israelis to live in dignity, safety and security
  • A focus on the future and finding solutions rather than assigning blame - no one is going anywhere, we need to find a way forward
  • The values of human rights, equality and equity, and historical justice

The Alumni Leadership Fellowship will run from June - December, 2024.

What makes year different?

After careful consideration, we have decided to focus our efforts on our existing Heart to Heart community members, namely you, our alumni, who already have a strong foundation, relationships, and connection with the larger values and mission of the program. Rather than launching a new cohort of fourteen-year-olds, we want to bring alumni together over the summer to provide you with opportunities to heal, reconnect and regroup, recommit, take the conversation to the next level, and take the next step as leaders in your communities. We’ll also be inviting you in as partners in shaping Heart to Heart’s future work to meet the new reality, because if anyone deeply understands what’s needed, it’s you.

What to expect if you're selected for the Fellowship:

  • Learning new perspectives that will challenge you and help you learn, grow, and become a more empowered leader working for change
  • Take the next step of your journey as a leader and build your network of diverse friends and partners
  • New and different activities than your previous Heart to Heart experience (this will be different from your time at camp)
  • Required participation in preparation meetings before travel ( July, August)
  • 10 days of time back at camp and in Toronto (August 20-30 ). We thought bringing you back to Canada would help with this effort. At the same time, we want to give you your own time and space so our time at camp will be after Shomria ends for the summer.
  • Required participation in post-camp group meetings, creation and implementation of individual or group leadership project, and connecting with a social change organization
  • The opportunity to shape the future of the Heart to Heart alumni community and network
